The univeristy senate at its 326th meeting held on wednesday, 4th March 2015 has approved for the adjustment of the coming 2014/2015 academic session calender.
The adjustment according to a statement signed by the Director, Examination Adminssions and Records (DEAR), Fatima Binta Mohammed was due to the postponement of the 2015 general elections.
The new approved calender of academic activies is as follows

1. 13th April - 3rd May, 2015 Normal registration for undergraduate students
2. 4th - 10th May, 2015 Late registration for undergraduate (with surcharge)
3. 20th April - 10th May, 2015 Normal registration for postgraduate students
4. 12th - 17th May, 2015 Late registration for postgraduate (with surcharge)
5. April 27th - July 31th, 2015 First semester lecture (14weeks including mid semester break)
6. 15th - 21th June, 2015 Mid semester break(1week)
7. 3rd - 15th August, 2015 First semester examination (2weeks)
8. 16th - 30th August, 2015 End of semester
9. 31st August - 5th December, 2015 Second semester lectures (14weeks including mid semester break (1week)
10. 18th - 25th October, 2015 Mid semester break (1week)
11. 7th - 19th December, 2015 Second semester examination (2weeks)
12. 20th December, 2015 -7th February, 2016 Between sessions break (7weeks)
13. 8th February, 2016 Commmencement of 2015/2016 session
