SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES: PLANS FOR 2014/2015 REGISTRATION EXERCISE


We would like to draw the attention of students to the following plans for registration for the 2014/2015 Session. Students should take note of the plans and abide by them.
Registration Procedure: The registration procedure has not been changed. A student is to login to myBUK portal, print his/her personalized Payment Invoice, pay the exact amount at any of the designated banks, then login to the portal again to register for the courses. A student who pays an amount different from what is on the Invoice would not be able to continue!
Registration Timetable: The following timetable will be strictly enforced:...


PERIOD ACTIVITY
1.      13th April –10th May, 2015 (4 weeks) Screening and Registration of fresh students
2.      27thApril–10th May, 2015 (2 weeks) Registration of returning students
3.      11th May –17th May, 2015 (1 week) Late Registration period (with N5,000 penalty)
4.      18th May –29th May, 2015 Application for Suspension of Studies for the Session for those who fail to register by 17th May, 2015.

Senate has directed that any student who fails to register by 17th May, 2015 has to apply for Suspension of Studies for the Session not later than Friday, 29th May, 2015. Those who fail to apply for Suspension of Studies by 29th May, 2015 would be considered withdrawn from the University.

2014/2015 SCHEDULE OF FEES:
A.    Acceptance Fee of N10,000.00 to be paid at BUK Microfinance Bank, Ac. No. 030400079 by all New Students before screening.
B.     Registration Fees (Reflected on the Invoice, to be paid on presentation of Invoice at the designated Banks).

  • ·         MBA Students to pay Internship Fees of N7,500 to N15,000 at Department, depending on the place of internship.
  • ·         PG Students in Geography to pay Field Trip Fees of N5,000 to N20,000 (depending on programme of study) at Department.

Hostel and Hostel Maintenance Charges (To be paid by students allocated bed spaces in University Halls of Residence): N12,090
